Pain. Purpose. Provision.

From a hospital bed back to a national stage. The full story.

Chapter One

Pain found me first.

I lost my eyesight. My kidneys failed. My heart stopped on a surgical table. I learned what it feels like when your body, your finances, and your future all give out at once.

If you are walking through pain right now, physical, financial, heartbreak, or the slow burn of being let down again, I see you. I have been there. God did not waste a minute of it, and He will not waste yours.

Pain has a voice. Mine said this is the end. God said this is the beginning. I chose to listen to God.

Chapter Two

Then purpose found me back.

Coming back from the brink rewired me. I stopped asking why this happened to me and started asking who this prepared me to lead. Forty years of leadership later, here is the answer.

High School
Class President + Student Body President
Leadership started early. I learned to speak up, organize people, and carry responsibility for outcomes.
National Stage
1 of 100 selected for the National Leadership Program
Out of thousands considered nationwide, I was chosen for an elite leadership cohort. Changed how I think about influence at scale.
Public Service
Led a National Workgroup on Homelessness
Helped shape national policy and program design for one of the most overlooked populations in America.
Federal Initiative
Part of the National Disability Initiative
Worked on systems change so people who were counted out, like I once was, get counted in.
Ministry
Pastor, community leader, mentor
Pulpit, neighborhood, and the dinner table. I lead where the people are.
40 Years of leadership experience
100 National Leadership Program selectee
US National Workgroup chair on Homelessness
DEI National Disability Initiative contributor
Chapter Three

Now I build provision.

My grandmother said don't just give a man a fish. I say feed him while you teach him to fish, then hand him a boat. That's what the books, the apps, and the community are for.

My wife runs a successful online business. We're a household that creates. When she's ready to teach what she knows, you'll find her inside the Autonate community too.
